If you own a Nokia phone, you might be familiar with “Nokia Tune”, a tune used by Nokia on all of their mobile phones sold after 1993.
Where does Nokia Tune come from? According to Nokia Conversations, the tune is taken from a composition called “Gran Vals” (a.k.a. Grand Valse) by Francisco Tarrega. According to Wikipedia, it was Anssi Vanjoki (together with Lauri Kivinen) who selected tune. I don’t know Anssi personally; what I know two things about him:
He used to be the boss of the boss of the boss of my boss.
He is very funny and smart guy.
