Hawker center at Richmond Public Market, Canada. They’re selling cheap food; good for us who don’t like cooking.
Archive for August, 2007

Today (August 17) is the independence day of my home country, Indonesia. It was 62 years ago when our founding fathers, Soekarno and Hatta, declared our independence.
My teacher at school told us that Indonesia was colonized by Dutch for 350 years and then Japanese for 3.5 years. During the colonial period, the Dutch monopolized the sources of nutmeg, cloves, pepper, etc. They even established Dutch East India Company (VOC) to control the trading. Anyway, I don’t remember all the details of our history. In fact, I didn’t like history subject when I was in the high school.
I left the country around 7 years ago because of political and economic crisis. Although I still miss my home country, but it was a good decision for my future. The country is still struggling with political and economic problems until today.
Happy Independence Day to Indonesia!!!

My cousin, Jess, seems to be surprise knowing that I have 4 blogs. Why do I have so many blogs? The answer is because my target readers are different.
When I started my blog 29 months ago, I had only one blog at Blogger.com. I was new to the blogosphere. I wrote about anything in my blog: my life, hobby, career, opinion, etc. Later, I realized that I need separate blog for each topic. People who read my opinion about technology (most probably) don’t care about my personal life.
Now, here I am…. maintaining 4 blogs:
- Antony’s Life Blog (this blog).
- Antony’s Mobile Blog. My rant about mobile phones industry (well, Nokia now call it multimedia computers).
- S60Tips.com. This is my commercial blog about tips and tricks of using S60 phones. The purpose of this blog is to make money. That’s why I bought a domain name and put a lot of efforts to advertise it.
- Forum Nokia. I am just a guest blogger at Forum Nokia.
Next week, I am going to announce a new blog. Stay tune…
