Canada Revenue Agency Login Problem
Geek May 2nd. 2007, 10:09amI don’t know what is going on here. I couldn’t login to my account on Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) web site any more. The error message suggested me to call their tax center. So, I called a toll-free number. It was nice that I was able to talk to a human being (normally, I just talk to a machine when calling a toll-free number).
Unfortunately the agent couldn’t help me. He transfered me to another phone line. The phone rang twice and after that it made very noisy sound. I had to hang up without any result.
A couple of minutes later, I called the same number again. This time, I have to wait for 15 minutes before talking to an agent. Apparently, the line was so busy. Unfortunately, after speaking to an agent, my problem was still not solved yet.

Anthony,
I wish you better luck in the days ahead – we all are going through tough times but sometimes it appears that certain people get hit harder than others.
I found your site after looking for blogs on Revenue Canada. I have an ongoing issue with Revenue Canada and am asking people to help me by signing a petition to the Minister of Revenue which is online on my website:<a href=”http://www.josephzimmermann.com/writetominister.asp” .
During this case CRA violated their own Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights several times making procedural mistakes such as loosing my files, not informing me of hearings, and delaying correspondence internally so their own agents were unaware of my account balance. The basis of my complaint are these infractions that they expect me to pay for.
It’s no wonder that you can’t open your account on their web site. After this interaction with CRA, I’m not sure if they are purely incompetent or outright malicious. In any case I am hoping that Canadians will expect more from our overpaid government bureaucrats and sign my petition.
Thanks.
Joseph Zimmermann

You have my sympathy. I am a senior with a small pension. My son passed away and left me a small legacy. Not knowing if this was taxable or not, I did what you are supposed to do. I called Rev Can and was told it was not taxable, it was. They made such a mess of my income tax. I have gone to accountants, MLA’s, many more. Now they are going to seize everything I own
